Well, she's here...Madelyn Audrey has arrived

Madelyn Audrey has arrived...born a little after 12 noon, she came into our lives...nothing will ever be the same again. Our youngest son is now a father...his jaw is probably sore from smiling. Jordan did a excellent job...Maddy is perfect...and quiet as a churchmouse. Jordan checked in on Sunday night and delivered almost 12 hours later. She looked beautiful with her mommy glow about her.

And of course Pawpaw had to take his granddaughter for a little one-on-one time. She seemed light as a feather and she's 7 pounds and 4 ounces. And did you notice that head of hair...she's ready for a hair appointment already.
Nana enjoyed holding her first granddaughter. We now have a perfect set of grandkids...a handsome boy, Ryder and a beautiful girl, Madelyn. She will enjoy her summer breaks for sure, the kids will come to Nana's and Pawpaws for fun, love, food and more fun. Nana can't wait to teach Maddy the secret cookie recipe...one her daddy loves, and Pawpaw does too.
Three generations, in a wide assortment of sizes...Maddy's the little bundle in her daddy's arms. It was great to see how Matt has assumed the role of daddy. He and Jordan will be great parents, they have one great reason...Maddy.

Just stay small, little bundle of joy, let us enjoy each and every second we spend with you. We will really enjoy the holidays...something about children and holidays makes the world seem happier. I will post again soon....now I have to go look at my granddaughters pictures some more.

Where's that Stork? It's Babytime in the Carolina's.

Well...it's getting closer to "babytime"...no word yet...but it will be soon. Soon Matt and Jordan's little Pooh bear will be kicking and screaming...letting the world know she's here. Jordan should be in dilatation, her body getting ready for the baby to make her appearance.
The hardest part of having a baby is the waiting....when will it happen...while your in traffic, late at night, while your out eating...you never know. But she's worth the waiting. She will add sparkle to this troubled world we live in. We all can use a little Madelyn sparkle in our lives.
So we wait...looking up into the sky for that darn stork...come on bird...do your thing....let's get this baby delivered.
Jordan and Matt will be great parents, they will learn as they go, like all parents. First lesson will be patience...like waiting for that stork!!!
They have lots of family that loves them all and will help in whatever way they can...we will let you know as soon as possible that the baby is coming...and if you see a stork with a little pink bundle flying over ya...tell him to hurry up and get to the hospital...Jordan and Matt are waiting for their Pooh bear, their little bundle of love....Madelyn.

Waiting for the call....

Jordan's due date is getting closer...soon my son will become a dad. He will understand what it's like to be a father, a daddy, a pop. He will smile a lot, cry a lot and smile some more. He and Jordan will be parents to my first granddaughter. Nana and I are sitting here at the house and waiting for the call..hopefully someone will call. It might not be Matt, he might be too busy smiling, but someone will hopefully call us.

Matt's mom has had a couple of baby showers for them. She's really done a great job getting them organized and planing for a baby. They seemed to have gotten a lot of great stuff.
Jordan looks beautiful with her baby poof..her little baby belly. They got a bunch of Pooh stuff it looks like...that's their theme for the baby.
It will be fun to watch Matt and Jordan become parents. To watch them feed and change their daughter. And it will be fun to watch Matt and see how he decides how to handle boys when they come to the door in her teen years. The shoe will be on the other foot..so to speak.
Well no baby yet...almost 2 weeks til Jordan's due date...I'll keep everyone posted, until then Nane and I will sit on the porch and look into the sky and wait for the call....
