Watching An Angel Growing Up

We were visited by an angel this weekend...look at her...sleeping so peaceful, in a world full of trouble, full of pain, and needing a little happiness in it.So we were blessed with seeing our granddaughter...she spent Saturday night with us and we got to bond with her. To see just how much she has changed in the 2 months she has been with us. To see her developing into the beautiful, smart and happy baby we know she will be.
Her visual development has really changed...she locks on to a object and watches with eagerness what it does, and why it does it. It is fun to she her discovering the world around her...a world that is full of unhappinest, but not in her eyes...in her eyes she only see's what is good and happy. The Lord watches over babies and only allows them to see the good...they will havetoo much saddness in their lives ahead...no need to rush it. So Maddy plays, smiles and watches, as the world revolves around her.
She really enjoyed playing on her bouncer...grabbing the toys...rattling the beads...and watch that doggie..."how does he float above me...maybe he's a angel like me"... deep thoughts from a little girl.
I took the toy bar off so you could see just how beautiful my granddaughter is, a angel in the living world for sure. I know she has alot of growing ahead, but she seems to have grown quite a bit in these 2 months of her life...and has gotten longer too. She's going to be a tall drink of water for sure.
Pawpaw's Wisdom is this...in about 13 years there will be a beautiful little girl named Maddy, whose Pawpaw will be cleaning his guns every time someone comes to visit her, ask her out on a date. I'll will be watching everyone...like the Yorkies do when she comes to visit us...she is under my protection..so don't even think about hurting her, breaking her heart, or looking hard at her...she's an angel and has both the Lord and Pawpaw watching over her...remember that..my wisdom to you...ok!

Halloween Weekend Fun for Pawpaw and Nana

Well, last week was a Pawpaw's dream week...first Nana and I went to go see our granddaughter, still too little to go trick-or-treating, but I think is dressed as a angel all the time...but I am her Pawpaw, so I might be prejudice a little.
Friday night we went with our grandson and his parents to a local town that had a trick-or-treat walk for the kids..and the grown ups too.Ryder isn't even a year old yet, but he took to trick-or-treating like a duck to water. He took hold of his pumpkin bucket and off he went. From person to person, getting little treats and walking to the next person. We helped alittle, but it was all him mostly.

Here he is before we left...this photo will be in his yearbook someday....next to his senior prom photo of him in a tux. He did very well for a 11 month old toddler in a bear suit on a warm night.

I believe he thought we were going bowling...he kept trying to roll this pumpkin for a strike...or was he planing to smash it on someone's sidewalk...hard to tell at this age. We had fun, he had fun, it was a win, win situation. Can't wait til next year...when both grandkids go together at Pawpaw's and Nana's house. Life as a Pawpaw is very rewarding when you see how much your grandkids are growing. Ryder is walking and Maddy is looking all around, noticing stuff and soon she be crawling arond chasing me...and I love it.
I hope your Halloween was a fun one too. I look forward to the coming holidays...grandkids make these times seem even more special. And with all the troubles in this world, alittle happiness goes a long way. Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment, or link on to follow my blog. I enjoy hearing from people, and love to share stories. My email is ryderspawpaw@gmail.com and maddyspawpaw@gmail.com and will answer all emails, questions, or suggestions.
